Newcastle looks to be buzzing this Summer, if this heat wave is anything to go by, were in for a real treat 🙂
World Cup fever is spreading throughout the town with publicans getting in the carnival spirit. The Anchor Bar has gone particularly barmy over the World Cup celebrating the kick off with Northern Ireland’s only Samba Band, having marched up the main street with the biggest Brazil flag available, locals were able to enjoy their own World Cup opening ceremony! The Anchor has regular music offerings throughout the week, drinks promotions, and the best cocktail shack in town, The Kraken.
In keeping with the carnival spirit, Newcastle Community Cinema are getting on board with 2 screenings this Saturday in Annesley Hall.
For the kiddies NCC will screen ‘Rio’ at 2pm, complete with a drumming workshop just before hand, and in the evening they will screen ‘City of God’ at 8pm, with tasty Caipirinha’s available for the adults.
